Boots Haul Review! Max Factor/ 17

Hi all! So yesterday I got a few things from Boots to update my makeup stash (I have a TON, but I don't like to take chances on the shelf life of mascaras.) I decided to try two brands I haven't really bought before, Max Factor and 17.

I bought the new Eye Brightening Tonal Black Volumising Mascara from Max Factor for brown eyes just to see what the fuss was about eye brightening mascara.

Simple enough packaging and a good deal as Boots has them on special for 4.99.

I really like this type of wand as I've found that with any mascara with it tends to have the best coverage and lengthening power.

All in all I was really please with it. Don't know about any light reflecting or eye brightening, but it gave great length and minimal smudging/clumping. Pretty good for 4.99!

I got a good amount from 17. Because I bought the Falsify False Lash Mascara which was over 5.99, I got a free bronzing kit with it. First though, I'll review the Mascara.

(gah, why did the pic come out upside down! :( )

I wasn't crazy about this brush as it came out a bit clumped up and sticky...but upon application it had the same results as the Max Factor mascara. Clump and smudge free!

This is the free set I got from 17, the Get Bronzed set which contains a golden cream blush, shimmery eyeshadow and lipgloss.

On my skin the blush is perhaps a little bit sticky but gave such a pretty bronze! I would probably use this under a blotting powder to counter the shininess.

Eyeshadow is a lovely pearly bronze that is nicely pigmented. I'd be able to wear this for day or evening without it looking too harsh.

The lipgloss has a nice formula, not too sticky but gives off a great sheen with a very pretty pinky/orange colour.

Pretty great haul for just over a tenner, I'd say!

Ta-ta for now!

DEEZ KICKS.

I first saw these pretties on ASOS and instantly fell in love! Platforms, Cushioning, High Tops, POLKA DOTS. All in one awesome pair of shoes. They were £45 at first so I figured I'd wait for them to go on sale...they did..and just my luck, my size sold out :(:(:(

But thanks to Ebay, I found them again for £15!! I love those lucky Ebay moments....

UPDATE!

Every time I start up a blog I tend to end up with this face:

SO! I'm going to really push ahead and PROPERLY (yes, I've said this way too many times now.) give this all a go. Things to be seen on the blog next:

*Pictures of me/OOTD
*Fashion and Beauty reviews
* Updating the blog more regularly, as I'm utterly fail at it.
*Also, more actual talking from me. After looking at the blog as a whole, it looks...bare. This is my third attempt at making a proper blog and I want it to go well, I want to stick to it.

TTFN!
